Dr Mello is the best

Love Hawaii Family Dental! They do great work! Love my smile. 🙂 I have been seeing Dr. Mello for years now.

I love my new Dentist Dr Mello in Kihei and her staff. Office is very professional, clean, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I am seen on-time. My dentist is gentle, patient, and explains each step of the way. I think I finally found the dentist for me.

Dr. Mello and the staff at Kihei Hawaii Family Dental are incredibly attentive. I have had amazing results from the work done at this dentist office. I highly recommend!

That was a wonderful dental experience! There was no pain and Dr Mellow is so amazing and efficient and smooth and Adorable! She is so confident I felt in good hands . June 24, 2025 I’m a very, happy patient. Dr. Mellow gave me her, compassion and understanding to allow me to receive Excellent dental care. . I had, no dental insurance. Out of work for, two years with back issues. Dr. Mellow knew of my financial difficulty. Dr. Mellows staff step up. With, the help of Bobbie in billing and Rayna the kind gracious receptionist. Helped sign me up with the affordible, “Carefree Dental Plan” . com ”. Thus taking away my embarrassment of insufficient funds. Not, able to pay. Dr. Mellow with Kindness and goodness in her heart, took upon her precious time and knowledge and, treated my other sore tooth in addition. She, reshaped my, 2 front teeth to match my partial, Dr. Mellow, filled my teeth thus NO More Pain! Dr Mellow’s years of experience now allowed my partial to, snap in, and have, a great bite for, eating! ( Thank You Dr. Mellow So Much) . * Note the assistant and Dr Mellow adjusted the dental chair to accommodate and relieve pressure off, my back and neck. (even with an neck pillow.) * With, Unbelievable kindness both Dr. Mellow and dental assistance BOUTH STOID UP over me, to administer dental procedures. Not the norm WOW * Knowing I have, trouble with saliva and Novicane, running down my throat with difficult swallowing. Dr. Mellow, patiently monitored and cleared, any, discomfort I had. Thank you So Much! Dr. Mellow. ps.Anna the dental hygienist, with, 20 years experience, today adjusted my treatment itinerary to be affordable, foe me. Anna, treated my, much needed cleaning. And, gave me a gift bag to take home, of dental floss, tooth brush, and tooth paste. Know you, know why, I give the, Hawaii Family Dental of, Kihei. The, excellent, FIVE STAR REVIEW! ❤️ June16, 2025 They treated me as Ohana (family) this morning. I called, a few days ago to inquire of, my pay out of pocket billing? I’m always greeted by the nice receptionist. She arranged my treatments and told me my estimate. Upon seeing The best most kind humble dentist Dr Mellow, She discussed my options and asked her assistants, Then, Dr. Mellow, asked assistant, to go to billing to get the costs for the day’s treatment and future treatments, also. To my knowledge, i didn’t”t have dental Insurance. And, billing department, confirmed it. To my embarrassment, I, could not pay for the future treatment , but only today’s. Bobbi from accounting inquired. I asked, “Do you know of a cheap dental insurance company?” Bobbi in account billing department took me to her desk , and reviewed , my insurance past, id’s insurance, coverage. I just called the insurance company. But they were closed, because of, CST She got on my phone to help me apply for my new application. BOBBi, got on her online computer, and registered me. Finding a suggested, dental insurance plan from a very low cost insurer. I say low cost plan! BOBBI, printed out my, new paper member’s card, and described, even, that eye, travel and purchases discount’s are now available through my new dental insurance company plan, online. WOW! 5 Star rating is not high enough! DR. MELLOW and BOBBI, I’m expressing, my deep, GRATITUDE , and GRATEFULNESS to you both! 😀 Much thanks; Much

It was Awesome. Dr Mello is the best. Fix me right up. Staff is wonderful and I’ll be going back.

As usual, they took good care of me during my visit from the reception (Reyna) to the thorough cleaning of my teeth; and of course Dr Mello! She carefully and skillfully remove my temporary bridge WITHOUT pain. The fit of the new permanent bridge was perfect. She then checked my gums in detail. Even paying the co-pay was not painful... Obrigado, Dr Mello!

I was so scared for my upcoming procedure. They made feel at easy. The procedure went well thanks to Dr. Mellow and her assistant. Mahalo Nui

********** PLEASE NOTE ********** I would like to remove my 5 stars. Please read on to second comment. Comment #1: I went to Hawaii Family Dental for the first time, and I was more than pleased. Everyone from the receptionist (Bobbie) to the exray person (Jaden) to the financial/insurance person (Annabelle) to the hygienist (Yana) was friendly, knowledgeable and gave me great service. (I hope I got the names right! ) The dentist who helped me, Dr. Mello, was pleasant and professional, and I will certainly be one of her patients for a long time to come. I was extremely happy with everyone, and I look forward to a good future with them all. ********** Comment #2 ********** I have something not good to add: I went back today to have a procedure done, and IT WAS SO NOISY I COULD BARELY STAND IT. Just cublicles, no doors. Lots of dentists, patients, people talking, general noise. I found it very unpleasant. Based on the atmosphere alone, I cannot recommend, and take back my 5 stars.

I've had a terrible time with dentists in the past to the point that I just won't go. Something came up and I needed to find a dentist so I decided to try Dr Mello and I'm so glad I did! She's wonderful...the whole staff is wonderful. I actually love going to the dentist now. Dr Mello and her staff have actually changed my perspective on going to the dentist! Thank you all!

Great staff at Front Desk and Back office. Everyone is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Excellent experience today. Dentist Dr Mello is always a great communicator and gentle at procedure. Service was very timely and perfectly on schedule. Also I had a great experience yesterday with the Hygienist. This office is top notch all around. Thank you all.

Dr. Mello and staff best ever!!!!

The dentist and hygienist here are all friendly and genuinely care about what they're doing. I have had several visits now and they do such a great job. Dr. Mello rocks 🤙 I also just got my first root canal. I was worried because I've heard horror stories about the pain. But I am virtually pain free during and after the treatment. Dr. Wiz is truly a wizard. Mahalo
