It was like WOW, from the GET GO! YOUR OFFICE is top of the line and your staff has so much ALOHA. I am new here on Maui and it really touched me to know that there are still people that care compared to Oahu you still got it! Then the icing on the cake was "Dr. Bryan Matsumoto". I like his style "get it done and don't wate my time". I thought it was only going to be consultation maybe some exams and pau! But he asked if i wanted my teeth out today I said yes, he went the wholemile I am even getting my new teeth on my partials today. For me at my age that's FANTASTIC !

The Dentist is awesome. But the Receptionist is not nice she told me she close drawer so i had to use my credit card ouch not good😒😒😒😒😒

Update: 5/13/26. They are short staffed, due to no fault of their own. They squeezed me in for an appointment before they will be extremely short staffed. This is a problem with West Hawaii Island. It is so expensive to live here. Anyway, many thanks to Po'o and Beth for their help in getting treatment.Update: 1/23/26. Spoke with Mike today at central office over the phone. He went the extra mile to get me an appointment at the time I could come in. He was very pleasant and helpful. I want to thank you, Mike, for helping me get the care I need. The staff were very welcoming when going to see the dentist is scary. It’s not my favorite place to go to. The dentist that did my procedures was great. Very efficient and did a really great job. Also the hygienist, Adam, always does a great job. I actually enjoy going in to see him. Very knowledgeable and gives great reminders on what to do to keep my teeth and gums healthy.

The clerical and clinical staff at Hawaii Family Dental in Kahului are helpful, friendly, and professional. They make booking appointments, checking in/out, and the procedures easy and efficient. I also like that they are open on the weekends, very convenient. Thankful for their service and grateful that I found a dental office I am happy with.

Annabelle was amazing at the front desk! She went above and beyond and I had some insurance changes that she took care of quickly and efficiently! Great aloha here!

My family and I have been going to this dental clinic for years. They are very professional and efficient. The pediatric dentist is very good with our kids and my kids enjoy getting their teeth cleaned and picking out a toy afterwards. They are part of the Tricare network so they do see military families.

I told the hygienist that the cosmetic appearance of my teeth bothers me as the front teeth have staining, and he went the extra mile, and was able to remove a lot of the stains that bothered me so much. I’m super thankful.

I have had a great experience at Hawaii Family Dental in Kihei. I have been going to them about 8 yrs. now. From all my cleanings and other procedures I've had they are very professional and very friendly at the front office. They do a great job. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. I was very nervous since it’s been a while since I’ve been to the dentist because I just didn’t have great experiences from the past. So it’s my first time here at family dental and the dentist and dental hygienist were very kind and friendly starting the front desk to the dental assistant overall a great experience.

Keith my hygienist is the best he's been working with me and taught me how to take better care of my teeth. Over the past 3 yrs or so the change is very noticeable no more bleeding & swollen gums.no more cavities Hawaii family dental is #1 in my books

You guys do not put off your dental even if you don’t have the money for it try to hop on a payment plan or anything I had no previous symptoms until 10 hrs before I could hardly breath I got a tooth abscess that had spread to my face and almost died last week Monday Dr.Tapua actually saved my life performing my emergency procedure forever greatful also never missing a appointment again lol!!! Moral of the story please do not put off your heath as if your teeth ever do get infected all it takes is one day to enter your blood stream. Thank you for saving me!!!! So glad to be recovering!!

Just had an extraction done this morning. Dr Sterling and the office staff were kind, understanding, and very efficient. Extraction went smoothly with minimal bleeding and post operation recovery pain is 2 out of 10 compared to what I experienced from the toothache I suffered for 3 weeks before I finally made an appointment. I highly recommend Hawaii Family Dental in Honolulu.

My recent appointment was only for a cleaning, and that's what I'm reviewing now. While the office, as a whole, is good and I've never really had any issues there, yesterday's appointment deserved a review.I don't Love the dentist...who really does ?! My hygienist, Shanice, is the best of the best as far as I'm concerned. In my youth, I didn't have great dental care, combine that with bad genetics and I had to spend a lot of time at the dentist, and definitely developed a bit of anxiety at the mention of my next appt. After years of work, I'm at a great place now, no more anxiety, but even if I was, Shanice would make it all better.I'm a nurse, so I admit I'm a bit particular when I'm a patient. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about her at all. From the moment she says hi, she's a spot of joy and light in that clinic. She makes me smile every time I see her, she knows how to relax you and ask just enough to put you at ease and glad you're in her chair. Anyone who is nervous about their cleaning, or just about the dental experience overall, see if she's available, you won't regret it.Hawaii Family Dental...you have a rare gem of an employee in Shanice!

Even though tooth #31 was a difficult location & gums overlapping the tooth, Dr. Park took her time & successfully prepped the molar for a temporary crown. She explained things along the way and did not rush. Job well done.

I love Hawaii Family Dental they take good care of you even though I haven’t seen them for 3 years due to my husband’s passing. I had an emergent repair and was seen same day for a temporary repair. Less than two weeks later my tooth was fixed permanently. Staff was friendly and efficient. Doc did a great job. 👍🏽

My choice of dental services always. My assigned dental hygienist Jernelle is always professional! Jernell is very efficient and detail oriented, and ensures my appointment begins and ends on time. During that 30 min she took xrays, had the dentist evaluate and speak with me, cleaned my teeth and applied fluoride...all done professionally! My dentis dr chin is always courteous, professional and keeps me inforned of dental issues as he finds them. He's great at explaining these to me, as well as next steps. Brittany helped schedule me for my next appointments.. great customer service skills!

I didn’t have appointment but there was a slot and immediately accommodated me, I really appreciate to Dr. Siddiqui and Dr. Fernandez who took care of me and their recommendations. I’ve been to many dentists and hygienists in my past 40 plus years of my life to have my teeth cleaned. I’ve never experienced this level of cleanliness that Malia the hygienist had done for me. It’s like having brand sparkling new teeth each time she cleans my teetth. In the past when I get my teeth cleaned I would still some stains behind and in between my teeth and thought this was normal. But when Malia cleaned my teeth it’s as if she had also whitened my teeth and could not find even just a little stain at all. She gives great service and I won’t have anyone else clean my teeth again. Malia’s a gem at Hawaii Family Dental in Lihue.

Staff is very kind and explains things very well. My dentist was very thorough and talked me through the steps we were going to take with my fillings today which I really appreciated. ( it was my first time getting them ) Thank you guys so much 🙂

My dentist appt 4/27/2026 I always appreciate the front group they always greet you with a smile today appt I was not satisfied with Mr Tanaka we did what I went in for but have ask him a question about my top denture I told him it was loose when I eat my denture flap off my gums can't chew my food denture is loose he try to make it seems it fits and im looking him like are kidding me it's loose I ask him if have another fitting size it to make it fit he jus brush it off and told me to put glue so it will fit im up set you know I miss Mrs Tanaka she give her time and her extra miles in making her patient feel good about there mouth there denture if it's comfortable it's not loose and she re do your partial because it don't fit she's care about us she care for us kapunas how we look I miss her I pray that Mr Tanaka will do the same not do a fast fix like it's done it's not I walk out today up set and wasn't satisfied with today's appointment I pray it gets better I want my smile back my denture fits goodNot I talking to people and my denture wants to fly out of my mouth and excuse my self to fix it can't do nothing please help better service at Hawaii Family Dental Mahalo
