Nice friendly staff as always. I have 2 insurance companies each pay for 2 cleanings a year. Went in for third cleaning today and had to pay. They checked and found that submitted both at the same time the last two times. So I'm short two cleanings and it looks like they got paid twice for both. Trying to contact billing but to answer on phone.

Super quick, efficient, dr sterling was a little bit of a robot like nice but not the most friendly. Answered any questions and did a great job on wisdom teeth removal saying what was gonna happen next. Again super quick and efficient.

I would give 5 stars, but teeth cleaning has overall been unpleasant for me over the years. This last visit Nina made it much better with her efficiency and good nature. It was appreciated.

This was my first time here and also my first cleaning experience in over 30 years they have been amazing and very patient and supportive helping me with my dental journey thank you to my dentist and her entire team

Front desk staff were friendly.i appreciated the fact that my physician informed me of each step he took in doing the procedure. His assistant was friendly and patient. And even till the very end when I was informed of my fu appointment, everyone was so professional and pleasant.

Staff is very friendly! Dr Ching and your dental hygienists are very caring, making sure that I was always comfortable. I truly appreciate their transparency in explaining every procedure helping me to understand what’s going on with my teeth. and gums. Even my billing! They also explain and ask for my consent on certain procedures respecting my choices. This team is amazing!

Best dentist office ive ever been a client at, had a small concern with the treatment received and same day gladly helped me resolve it. The Doctors/Assistants are nice, quick and experienced and the front desk are always the most welcoming!

BIG MAHALOS to Dr. Tapua and the whole crew at Hawaii Family Dental! From calling to squeeze me in early to getting me in and out smoothly, they made the entire visit hassle-free. Even adding in an unexpected filling last minute, so I didn’t have to make a return trip or possibly have it cause pain in the future. The office is super clean, and having upfront pricing took away all the typical dental anxiety, of oh gosh what’s this gonna cost me! They genuinely make going to the dentist a great experience!

We are so happy with Dr. Simon and his team!He is patient, respectful, responsive and gentle with my children while doing thorough dental work.He is also a great listener when it comes to any questions/concerns I may have regarding my children’s oral health and maintenance.His assistants are also kind, gentle and treat us like family.I’m am thankful to have them caring for my children’s dental needs.Appointments are heavily booked, however they are great about reaching out when there is a cancellation in order to accommodate us.Mahalo!

Experience was great. The wait was a little long (appt at 2:30, not seen to almost 3:30). My teeth look great and I appreciate the quick procedures. My top right tooth that got a filling is a little sensitive but I’m hoping that’ll go away with time. If not, I’ll schedule a follow-up.

Just completed my quarterly periodontal cleaning done by Nani at Aiea location, who is always knowledgeable and thorough, as well as being gentle and friendly.

Dr. Lee is a great listener and always provides helpful advice on dental care. I like the fact that he’s down-to-earth and addresses my concerns as a parent. From my observation, my son had a pleasant experience and he seemed relaxed during our recent visit. He was especially happy to hear he doesn’t have any cavities! I would highly recommend this office to all of my family members and friends.

My daughter’s braces were really bothering her, and we were grateful to find a clinic that could get us in quickly. The team took excellent care of her; everything was handled fast and with such patience. My daughter felt comfortable throughout the visit, and we left with her braces feeling much better. I have been a patient at Hawaii Family Dental for the past two years, and recently I experienced an incredibly painful toothache. I called the main office, explained that I was in severe pain, and asked if I could see a dentist as soon as possible. I was asked the standard emergency questions—whether I was bleeding or had a fever. I explained that I had neither, but that I was in significant pain. Unfortunately, they could not accommodate me and told me they would call me back. I was told that the earliest available appointment could be about a month away, and I was even advised to go to the emergency room.At that point, I was extremely frustrated and decided to call other dental offices in the area. Thankfully, I found another dentist who was able to see me the very next morning.Then, unexpectedly, I received a phone call from my amazing dentist, Dr. Helena Mello. She had heard about my situation and wanted to help me immediately. I honestly could not believe it. She was kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond to arrange an appointment for me right away.I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Mello’s knowledge, expertise, and careful diagnosis. She discovered that I had a cracked tooth and took the time to clearly explain my treatment options, including the financial options available to me. This allowed me to make an informed decision that was right for me and my tooth.Dr. Mello’s compassion and dedication truly made a difference during a very stressful and painful experience. Dr. Kim is always amazing!! She takes the time to talk to me and makes me feel comfortable. I'm always stressed when I go to the dentist, totally freaked out but she is so knowledgeable and soothingly professionable, confident and patient. I am so thankful for her.

For many years, Dr. Lindsay Taira has been far more than simply my doctor. She has been someone I could trust to consistently place quality, precision, and patient care above everything else. Instead of asking me to schedule another appointment or directing me back to the orthodontic department, she personally took the time to carefully polish away the remaining cement herself. She certainly could have referred me elsewhere, but she chose to help in that very moment. To me, that is the mark of a true doctor. It wasn't simply about treating teeth.
