I just started going to Hawaii Family Dental about 2 months ago and it’s been a 10/10 experience. I struggle with dental anxiety but the staff is so nice and is great at making you comfortable. I wish I would have caught the doctors name because she was fenemonal. Thank you.

I booked my past appointment 6 months ahead. Then had to have it rescheduled and pushed a month later because my hygienist was on vacation. Then go to my appointment Only to find out my dentist not going to be there to examine because he is on vacation.Now for my next visit, it gets scheduled 6 months ahead. How can I be assured they both will be there ? Awaiting your reply

I go 3 times a year for my dental visits, and have been going here for just 1 year as we are new to the island. They service is top notch, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the location can't be beat for those living in or near Kapolei. Chasity was my hygeneist and she is amazing!

Within one week and half, the dental clinic has gone above and beyond in helping me get through all the obstacles with insurance. Confirm my insurance, complete full exam and cleaning.Following and future appointments to include guidance on how to move forward with proper care and treatment plane. For a treatment plan that has 3-6 stages I think got check the paperwork, I am already past 3 phases.Looking forward in completing this treatment plan then just maybe will I get a clinical whitening done and start uploading sharing the final results.Right now, my teeth, though in much better care now that the past 4 years, stained yellow from years of abuse. - and tea

Thank you for a great experience. Quite contrary to when I had my cleaning with a very rough time with the hygenist. I really dont want to have her as my hygenist ever again.

I had a root canal, cavity treatment, and filling done today, and overall the dentist did an excellent job. She was thorough, professional, and made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. The procedures themselves went well, and I appreciate the quality of her work.The only downside was that the appointment took much longer than expected. There were several times when the dentist had to leave the room to get supplies or equipment, which resulted in long waits while I was still lying in the chair with my mouth open and the suction in place. This was quite uncomfortable and made the experience more difficult than it needed to be.That said, the actual dental work was performed very well, and I am grateful for the care I received. With better preparation and reduced waiting time during the procedure, the experience would have been even better.

I had an excellent hygiene appointment today with Nina- without a doubt the best dental cleaning experience ever, and I have been to dental practices all over the country.The dim lighting in the room is immediately relaxing- and the music was also wonderful and adds to the calming atmosphere ! Nina made the cleaning experience itself actually pleasant , and who says that about a visit to the dentist?!! She deserves a raise 😁, good hygienists are hard to find and keep!!! I had to get a tooth pulled today. Dr. Stone did excellent work. Once the section of my mouth was numb he had the tooth extracted in less than a minute. He cleaned out the extraction area and gave me some gauze to put on the space left by the extraction. He is very amiable and professional.

The staff expressed so much professionalism with an awesome caring attitude. The facility is very well kept and organized, outstanding. I will recommend to anyone who needs care and help about this establishment. Time is not wasted here.

Dr Moon is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I don’t even know where to begin to express my gratitude. This location is the best location because of Dr. Moon, the office manager Selena, the front desk Mandy and Eva, the nurse Fera, and the rest of the team!! They show that they genuinely care about their patients, they’re SO helpful and SWEET. I drive all the way from town for them and it’s totally worth it!! Windward location has been the most amazing experience! Dr Lau was my dentist at their Kaka’ako location, however, after he retired, for the past 3-4 years, I couldn’t find a dentist that I can trust, who have shown a genuine patient care and interest in me and my health. I am sooo glad I read and listened to the wonderful reviews that Dr Moon had, because they just proved right! I will make sure I spread the word about this location and Dr Moon. This is the best dentist office I’ve ever had the privilege of going to. Everyone here cares from the ladies at the front, the best hygienist, Dr. Moon to the orthodontist staff. Thank you for caring for my family.

Have been a patient for about 20 yrs. The office staff is fantastic, offering great service to accommodate and help patients with their needs. Unfortunately, too many good dentist have come and gone. The good ones show and explain the problem with honesty and facts, and work with tenderness and care, being sensitive to the fears and the pain one experiences on a dentist's chair: and is not so quick to drill. A good dentist spends time with you, and since the offices has become sort of an assembly line-like structure, time is of the essence. Just because they are dentist does not mean they are gods. They can make mistakes that cannot be reversed. So be sure to educate yourself about your teeth and what can be done. See if there are alternatives that you can add to your protocol, and be sure to investigate that they are proven to work or to help. Dr. Stone is fantastic; treats you like he would his child. DO NOT USE ALMALGAM FILLINGS. IF POSSIBLE. USE COMPOSITES AT THE MINIMUM. I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months, and my hygienist is very gentle with her hands and does her work with pride. I miss the doctors that have gone, and hoping for more Dr. Stones to become part of the staff for the office. Be careful for the "ones" that are ready to drill or remove. Stop eating junk, and brush your teeth ... Aloha

Very friendly, don't have to wait long they call you right away..the staff tells you what there doing as they work on your teeth. I would recommend Hawaii Family Dental to anyone that's looking to get there teeth done..

I love my dentists and assistants but, unfortunately, I’m losing my 3rd dentist in 2 years because of managerial issues, evidently. They don’t seem to want to KEEP them, though, it seems. I’m hearing there are disagreements between staff and management about their concerns, rate of pay, etc. They are all leaving for “greener pastures”. They’ve had some of the best dentists I’ve had but every time I’ve gone back for something or other I have a NEW dentist!! I’d like to have one that knows my history.Our appointments have to be moved out or cancelled because their staff is leaving (or already gone) and we have no one that can see us! They can’t treat patients in a timely manner! It’s a shame I may have to look elsewhere because of the inconvenience.

Consistent, top notch experience. My hygienist remembered every issue about my teeth despite it being 6 months since our last appointment. Overall, the staff is incredibly courteous and professional. No one loves going to the dentist, but they go out of their way to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

The dentist and assistant today were great. They were gentle, professional, patient, and through. Overall they made my experience the best that it could be.

Hawaii Family Dental recommended I use a water flosser, and four months later I had less buildup of tartar on my teeth so the cleaning took less time and I had less sensitivity. They are really looking out for me.

I went to 2 other Dentists here in Aiea and Pearl City, They were overpriced. One was using me as a Business cause she sent me to her friend who happens to be a Peridontist with a Dental Plan. Went to Hawaii Family Dental for Consultation and x rays and the very Young Dentists was straight up and Honest. I felt relieved that there are Honest Dentists still in Hawaii. Go to the Aiea Branch and ask for Dr Serena Han. God Bless her.

And, billing department, confirmed it.To my embarrassment, I, could not pay for the future treatment , but only today’s.Bobbi from accounting inquired. I asked, “Do you know of a cheap dental insurance company?”Bobbi in account billing department took me to her desk , and reviewed , my insurance past, id’s insurance, coverage.I just called the insurance company. But they were closed, because of, CSTShe got on my phone to help me apply for my new application.BOBBi, got on her online computer, and registered me. Finding a suggested, dental insurance plan from a very low cost insurer.I say low cost plan! Visiting the Dentist is like taking your car to a dealership for service work, it is just not fun. But the staff at Hawaii Family Dental in Honolulu made my visit totally entertaining. And if that wasn’t enough every detail of what to expect next in the process was clearly explained. Sounds crazy but I am looking forward to my next what could be a painful visit, kudos to a great staff.

The reception was very nice and efficient. I was personally called by my name to check in. My dental assistant was friendly and courteous. I’ll miss Dr. Kirsch but Dr. Chin was nice and professional. It was the first time I met Dr. Chin but she seemed knowledgeable and very professional.

Long wait time but this is understandable since we don’t have a lot of keiki dentist. Once you Dr visits it’s fast and easy.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and the doctors bedside manners are awesome so much that they make you feel comfortable and not worry about the pain.I would highly recommend them.

I appreciate the efficiency of the Clinic from entering, greetings, checking in, settling accounts, X-rays, more x-rays, being checked by the Dr., and scheduling the next cleaning visit. Not to mention the million dollar technological equipment that takes X-rays and downloads the results like immediately! I like Hawaii Family Dental Mililani!!!

This is my new dental clinic, i was previously at another site but wanted to get a steady hygienist and doctor to see each visit. these folks are in an easy location and are very accommodating. i chipped off a part of my front tooth and they scheduled me in quickly and repaired it without another visit after assessing it. at my age, I sincerely appreciate that the crew there is younger than me so hopefully I won't need to search for the gentle and sensitive care I am now receiving from them.BTW, I really don't like going to the dentist, but these folks make it so much more bearable!
