I had a wonderful experience with Hawaii Family dental. I was in need of a new dentist and had some dental issues. The check in was smooth and everyone was friendly. The dentist addressed all concerns and explained what was necessary to fix my dental issues step by step. No hard selling, no brush offs, just a plan to fix the issue. I was able to get a cleaning straight away. Because of my dental issue I thought it would be painful, but she was gentle and thorough. So far I'm very please.

Wait time was a little long from the appointment time, it took a little almost an hour but other than that staffs was friendly and kind. I’ll still give 5 stars due to the friendliness of the staff. They were very gentle with my daughter and that’s more important to me than a wait time.

My dental hygienist was great. She explained everything she was doing, and she handled my teeth, clean for a professional. My only complaint was that my bill for my fluoride treatment was not accurately priced. Upon receiving the fluoride treatment at the end of my cleaning session, I found that I had to pay an additional cost that I was not told about.

Awesome second visit. Dr. Moon prepped my teeth for a future bridge and did a painless tooth extraction today. After going home, swelling was minimal and no pain reliever was needed. Once again Dr. Moon and his assistant were very professional throughout the entire process. I look forward to the final bridge being installed next month as well as what comes next so that I can have the best dental health possible.

The dentist and dental hygienist were amazing! Both listened to my concerns and made sure I felt comfortable from beginning to end. Originally I was only scheduled for XRAY’s and then a separate appointment for my cleaning because of their busy schedule. When I checked in I asked if they had time to do the cleaning as well so I wouldn’t have to take an additional day off work. They squeezed me in! Didn’t even have to wait too long to get the cleaning done. Amazing staff. Very accommodating and friendly. Mahalo for the great service!

My Hygienist Dulcie is awesome. Always friendly and professional. I always feel comfortable trusting her when I go in for my checkups.And everyone when checking in at the front is always friendly and welcoming.

The person that cleaned my teeth did an outstanding job and Dr. Utley is an amazing doctor she explained everything step by step. At first I tried Dr. P. Chen however she was not people friendly so I decided to change my primary care to Dr. Utley.Furthermore I went into this dental office today 4-11-2025 to have a consultation for dental implants for 2 missing teeth. The consultation alone was $56+change and for the 2 teeth implants Total would be $12,565.89 I believe to be way to expensive. The 5 stars is for the hygienist and Dr. Utley.

Called family dental and was able to get an appointment that morning. Staff was awesome very compassionate to my needs. Will definitely be a place for my dental needs.

Amazing care today. All the staff were really nice and welcoming. This being my first time with Hawaii Family Dental, I felt like the exam from start to finish was very thorough. Dr. Utley explained everything in detail on any issue's , the process and the plan. Very appreciative for that.

Everything was exceptional. Starting the virtual check in by Gabby (I think that's his name) who was professional and courteous. Then Kiana, my hygienist was very thorough, gentle, and friendly. And the woman that checked me out (sorry, I didn't get her name) was also friendly and efficient.

I have been their patient for years, because they are very interested in my comfort. I am always greeted with smiles.They always explain the billing, which is always reasonable. I feel like part of the family.

The wait to get in for an appointment was quite lengthy but everything was great when we finally got seen. My 10 month old had his first dental appointment with Dr. Joshua Westphal and it could not have gone better. Dr. Westphal was patient, caring and made everything super simple.

My dental visit today was pleasant. I was anxious because of my sore tooth but the staff was friendly and made me feel at ease. The dentist was very helpful and made me feel very comfortable despite my anxiety. I appreciated the way that he took the time to explain in detail the procedure and everything that would come with it and the after care. Great experience.

For the first time in my life I was actually calm during this appointment. My anxiety level is usually high when going to the dentist due to having lots of dental issues to include teeth sensitivity. Kiana took care of my cleaning as she usually does, but this time I was very relaxed. We mostly chatted about travel plans which took my mind off of the cleaning. I was being a big girl (I'm 51 years old), calmly withstanding some sensitivity while she cleaned my teeth. It was a great day and a great achievement in my dental office history! Reception staff was efficient with my early check-in and there was practically no wait time for me. I was having a filling done by Dr. R. Siddiqui. Dr. Siddiqui professionally did the filling and was constantly informing me of the steps he was taking throughout the procedure which I appreciated greatly as it was his way of reassuring me to avoid the experience of no "surprises" during the short time in the chair. I'm glad I found this dental provider!

I was treated well, however it seemed as if Dr. Tokunaga did not have a chance to review my forms sensitive to pain. would prefer he’d be more gentle during exam. I didn’t care for him going from one patient to the other. Thank you

Been going here for a few years. Had different techs, all of them have been solid and friendly. I think I have had the same dentist, but am not sure due to facemask wearing during COVID. Very happy with the service here. Tons of parking too. Update as of 22JAN25: No COVID measures any longer in place. Still great service, short wait times, and friendly workers.
