Dr. Azure Utley

Dr. Utley is a native of Toledo, Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry in Michigan, and completed an Advanced Education of Prosthodontics Residency training program at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. She earned a Master’s Degree of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

With over 22 years of clinical experience, Dr. Utley has honorably served military beneficiaries in the United States and abroad as a commissioned officer in the Army Dental Corps. She has also taught as a clinical professor at multiple institutions.

Guided by the “ohana spirit,” Dr. Utley is committed to offering evening and weekend hours to accommodate families with nontraditional schedules to our Kapolei dental office. As one of the few Board-Certified Prosthodontists in Hawaii, Dr. Utley welcomes patients of all needs, from straightforward cases to the most complex. Dr. Utley also treats patients medically diagnosed with mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea. The treatment approach involves custom oral positioning devices.

In her spare time, Dr. Utley is an avid fan of University of Hawaii Bands and Athletics. She also enjoys hiking with her family and photography.

The dental service provided by Dr Moon and staff gets a 5 star rating from me. The care and treatment I experienced was excellent. They explained what procedures were being done, addressed my questions and concerns, and ensured that I was comfortable. Hawaii Family Dental - Kapolei has a very friendly and helpful staff. Their location is convient to get to and there's lots of free parking.

I somehow broke my two upper front teeth. Hawai’i Family Dental was able to get me an appointment the next day! I was thrilled. They assessed the problem, had me come back the next day and repaired them. I am so happy. My dentist and assistant are the best. The phone operator was also awesome. I love Hawaii Family Dental. All the staff, from the administrators to the hygienists and the dentists have been great!The front office communicates well with me about billing and upcoming appointments. The dental office and dental areas are tidy and clean, staff are always friendly and professional. Dr. Kirsch and his team have done an excellent job working on my teeth to make sure my teeth stay intact and cavity free. I highly recommend this dental clinic if you’re in the Ewa beach/Kapolei area!

Dr.Kirsh is the best!!! Everyone in the kapolei office is very warm and welcoming! I always feel like I’m catching up with a friend whenever I go in. And they are always very clear on what is being done and copays and even show before and after pics of procedures. The best!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

The Dr and the dental assistant were excellent!! However, the checkout wasn’t as pleasant. Took a while to just check out, they help check in multiple customers while I am standing there. At one point I had to go back inside to get the dentist assistant to help me check out. Don’t know why the girls at the front desk just simply say something like we will be right with you, or explain why I had to wait as they tend to new customers that were walking in while I was standing there…

My dad sees Dr. Kirsch. He's 82 and been going here for 2 yrs now. Close to home, lots of parking. They can accommodate my hours so I can take my dad. They take HDS insurance but most of all, my dad is happy and comfortable here.

Dr Westphal is always awesome and cheerful when dealing with my children! He is positive and explains everything to where our kids learn how to care for their teeth. The Kapolei Team is always accommodating and friendly. The facilities is always clean and you can always see the staff constantly disinfecting the facility. Mahalo to your Team's professionalism!! We love this dentist. He’s so awesome and makes the kids feel so comfortable! My daughter came to the appointment with my son last minute and she wasn’t even scheduled for her cleaning. Doctor took her anyways because it was a convenient time for me and so we wouldn’t have to come back! The whole office staff is amazing and we love them!

Good overall experience, however, the scheduling staff is quite frustrating. Changed my appt from Feb all the way out til May, then the night before my appt they called to confirm it and it was changed to a different time due to a staff meeting supposedly and no one told me until the night before which interfered with my work schedule....

So I had my cleaning appointment with Jernell. My teeth feel so amazingly clean now! She educated me on the benefits of fluoride and why I should receive it! I did end up doing the fluoride and it tasted amazing! Like Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum! The front desk ladies were so pleasant. She also taught me how to correctly floss, and brush! Jernell even showed me the spots I need to work on better and which areas I should be watching! 10/10 would highly recommend a cleaning from her!
