Well, first of all this was my first time seeing the office at a different location, and I like the facility it was very nice and cleaned. The room set up was excellent, I didn’t know that they were a lot of rooms in there.The staff at the desk was very helpful and polite, as well as the medical assistant and dentist.I definitely will continue my visit there.

I wasn’t exactly looking forward to my deep cleaning but Nina made the process painless and quick as it could be. She did a good job explaining what was going on and wrote helpful notes for my follow-up maintenance. Mahalo, Nina!

I was so nervous looking for a new dentist to replace our family dentist of 20 years after he retired and am grateful to find Hawaii Family Dental. The admin staff, assistants and doctors are all very pleasant, professional, attentive and helpful.

They were so nice and accommodating! I was off to my scheduled appointment when my cat decided to run between my legs and out the door. Needless to say I had to miss my appointment because I was struggling to get me cat back into the house. I arrive to the office about an hour late, explained to them what had happened, and they immediately did a search for a new appointment opening. They were able to schedule me I'm the next day at the same hour! I'm so impressed with the staff, and now, with the way they can handle client hiccups. Thank you Hawaii Family Dental!

I was frightened to have a bone graft, but Dr. Stone made it almost enjoyable. Notwithstanding the first couple of needle pricks; the rest was quick and painless. He thoroughly answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable, like ohana.

Didn’t have to wait long, and explained what they we’ll be doing while probing gums and letting me know what they will be extracting and to decide on bridge or parcel.

Very friendly staff. Dentists have all provided excellent care. I appreciate how Dr. Lee and Dr. Stone take care to explain procedures and answer questions. Only word of caution is regarding scheduling. If you have a multi-appointment procedure, make sure the appointments are all set up from the beginning. The office staff fails to do that and you will likely have to wait a couple of months between appointments. This can unnecessarily prolong your treatment time by many months.

Hawai’i family dental has been great! Nina at Hawaii Family dental is totally amazing!! She is helping me get past my fear of dental offices. She is so considerate and caring.

This is a very busy establishment, but I like that all the equipment is new and they are upfront with pricing. They have good family dental plan (more like a membership discount) plan where you get 40% off most services. The dental hygienist was excellent! Very thorough, generous with advice and gave great education on teeth care. Front desk/admin could use some improvements. 1) they didn’t follow up with the oral surgeon they referred my mom to get her tooth extracted, which then snowballed into a major misunderstanding with my mom’s primary dentist, who wanted to drop my mom as a patient because she thought we weren’t following her guidance! This could have been totally avoided and wasted time for us. 2) Whenever I call they answer “Hawaii Family Dental Please Hold”…and I’m usually waiting at least 2 minutes. The tone is rude and uncaring. Be professional and courteous with “May I put you on a brief hold?” Other than that, the primary dentist is very compassionate and professional, taking into account my moms dementia. Overall I like everyone there…just improve the administrative end and it would be 5 stars!

It was great. I was cold, I got a blanket!!! I was offered a neck pillow and I took it too. I was comfy and laid back, pun!!! Dr. Lu and her assistant were A++. Thanks so much for the great care!!!

Great service. I have been going to Hawaii family dental for 10 years. Recently had some old fillings repaired plus a crown and had a teeth cleaning. I must say I was very satisfied with the service I got. The doctor took his time to do the very best job he could for me given the current state of my old fillings. The hygienist was very pleasant and easy to talk to too.

I love Hawaii Family Dental! The doctors are so nice and professional. I have had many procedures done here at their Hilo office and I am very happy with the outcomes♥️ I would definitely recommend them to new patients ☺️

I recommend Hawaii Family Dental they are very nice and take very good care of my godchild when she goes there to do check ups, or fillings. The staff are awesome!
