    Dr. Jeffery Thomas has served patients with his compassionate, gentle approach for over 25 years as a Kihei dentist. He feels fortunate to consider his colleagues his family and his long-time patients his friends. As a young person he experienced first-hand the positive affect of high-quality dental care, and was motivated to pursue a career in dentistry. Prior to joining the Hawaii Family Dental – Kihei team, he earned his DMD from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry.

    In 2015, Dr. Thomas was recognized as one of Honolulu Magazine’s Best Dentists, lauded for his restorative techniques that protect natural teeth and last for many years. “I don’t just take care of teeth,” says Dr. Thomas, “I take care of patients.” Outside of the practice, Dr. Thomas cherishes time spent with his family, including daughters Elizabeth and Faith. In addition to spending time staying active outdoors, Dr. Thomas has written a book on stress management and produced a short film titled “Trade Winds.

    Dr Thomas is the best dentist ever. He has been nothing but kind and explains everything he’s doing, which really helps me relax. I’ve needed a lot of dental work in the past few months and through it all he has made it possible for me to overcome my big fear of dentists. I recommend him most highly.

    As a long-time patient of Hawaii Family Dental in Kaneohe's Windward Mall I am continually pleased with their dental and personal care. Dr. Thomas Moon puts you at ease by taking the time to provide detailed explanations of the dental care you need and the procedures he'll use. Dr. Moon's Dental Hygienists are exceptionally thorough in their X-ray and cleaning procedures. And the Front Office ladies are among 'the Best,' too, explaining your dental care and costs, and doing it with such a personable touch.     I only have wonderful things to say about the Hawaii Family Dental location in Kihei. From the moment I walk in, I’m always acknowledged with a friendly and professional greeting from the front desk staff. The same goes for my hygienist, Christy Murashige. I see her every 3 to 4 months for maintenance and she always makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. She does a great job taking care of me. My dentist is Dr. Thomas and when needed, he’s nothing but amazing. He not only has a gentle touch, but also a calm manner that immediately puts me at ease. I drive from Pukalani because of this amazing dentist and staff.

    Dr. Jeffery Thomas is the best dentist I've ever had in my entire life. I've been all over the world, seen many dentists, and there is no one to compare with his compassion, kindness, and gentleness. I've never met a dentist that has both technical expertise and chair side manner. He listens humbly. Sounds simple, but so many dentists are arrogant or have raging egos or do not have technical abilities (and try to hide this fact with what I call "acting"). Simply the best! I highly recommend him!
