My Lahaina dentist’s office closed after the fire. I needed a new dentist and tried Hawaii Family Dental. Great location and lots of parking in Kaahumanu Center.Dr. Nicholls is very proficient and patient with questions. Ask for Edwin for cleaning! He’s meticulous and tells you what he’s going to do so you’re not caught off guard. I’ve had a deep cleaning on three teeth and he was really careful and asked if there was any pain before proceeding.I’m a patient for life!

The dental hygienist, Vincent, is very well trained and Knowledgeable about his craft. He was very thorough and very efficient in taking care of me. I would recommend him highly to everyone who needs a good cleaning and polishing.

The staff was superb, receptionist outstanding. The technicians were amazing very personable and caring. Dr. Harris is the absolute best. I felt no pain whatsoever. He was very detailed in his presentation and very caring in his delivery of care.

It was a great experienced. The girl who helped me and do the mold was very nice . The doctor, Dr. Matsumoto came talk to me and explained what needs to be done too. Very high tech, this place and everything is so nice and clean.A beautiful place and very convenient.

As always, my dental hygienist was great! I would like to request him again on my next visit. All employees that I have encountered today was very good on the job. Thank you

Excellent service. I have been a patient of HFDS for 50 years. I've had many different dentists and hygienists over the years. Dr. Istvan and Dr. Stone were both outstanding in my latest visits: kind, comforting and precise. I felt reassured that I will continue to have great dental care. Everyone is so pleasant from start to finish. State of the art facility and equipment. My dentist took extra time and care to ensure her work was the best she could do. She is simply the best!

Im gonna start by saying that I am absolutely TERRIFIED of the dentist and therefore, have not been in over a year. The level of care that the assistant provided, to the dentist being so thorough and actually saying ‘if it were my tooth, what would I do?’, to the cleaner who made the dreadful process completely painless… I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! It has completely changed my view on dentists and I am actually looking forward to my next cleaning! You guys are the absolute BEST and I would honestly give 10 stars if I could.. 🌺♥️

The name speaks for it self (Family Dental). The professionalism there is amazing, from their receptionist, to my doctors assistant, and of course my doctor makes everyone feels like Family. We have visited this office two times now with all three of our children who are under the age of 4. The office is very clean and organized. They send out helpful text and email reminders. The staff is friendly and understanding with the kiddos as they try to touch everything around the dental chair. The dentist is kind and there to address any questions or concerns.

Dr. Brian Matsumoto recommended that my front tooth was chipped and needed repair. He gave me an estimate and then did the repair for my tooth, pain free. I’m really happy with his work. Jealy his assistant was also nice and helpful taking X-rays.

The experience at Hawaii dental has been always great for me. Dr Park is an amazing doctor. She makes you feel comfortable and she is quite gentle and calming or makes it soothing. Her staff is just as amazing. Very pleasant and kind.

Edwin is a really good hygienist. His touch is soft and he explains everything very well. What I also really like about Edwin is his interest in learning new/better techiques.

My cleaning experience for the past 2 years has been amazing not just because i have had no cavities for this long 😂 but the technician is nice, respectful, and supportive with his words and very knowledgeable.

Great customer service! Very friendly and professional. Dr Matsumoto have gentle hands that’s why my fear on dentists disappeared. Had many dental works done in the past before Dr Matsumoto, and they have heavy and rough hands that made the procedure very painful. Great place to go to get dental works for sure!!! Mahalo for all the staffs for making me feel welcome and detailed oriented.

My cleaning was so gentle, but thoroughly done! Kudos Erwin!!!I also had to have a tooth extracted, I freaked out over nothing! Before I knew it the procedure was over very little pain!You guys rock 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷

Today's visit was seamless. 9am on a Saturday morning. The young lady greeted and assisted me as I walked in. She provided clear instructions and answered my question. Vinny, Dental Hygienist, is great! Makes you feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the process. He also provides great tips to care for your teeth and overall for your whole well-being. My point of view is, marvelous guest experience. They showed me they care about me and my time. Thank you!

From the front office to the dental assistant to the doctor himself, everyone performed fantastic. I felt right at home. Very comfortable and knew that I was being taken care of by utmost professionals. The doctor's bedside Manor was fantastic. He was confident and made me feel comfortable. It was the most pleasant dental experience I've had in my lifetime since I am normally afraid of dentists.
