Aways wanted to get braces my entire life. I am so happy that I was able to come here and get them with such an amazing and gentle crew of people here to help but never hurt contrary to peoples popular beliefs. I never experienced pain during my tightening's but maybe it just to me thing, but I'm so proud of my new smile. I am so happy.

I have the best time at Hawaii Family Dental. Doctor Chong devotes her time to fly over to Hilo once a week sometimes twice and is such a blessing. I am so happy with my teeth and I am always excited to come see her and all the other assistance. Every time I had to reschedule my appointment I was so sad because I made looking it for two weeks . I am going to miss talking soon with them and they really made me feel like family.

Dr Peck is gentle and reassuring from beginning to end of appointment. I did not feel rushed and when he needed to stop and numb me to continue he did not hesitate. He took good care of me as well as his amazing assistant she I the best calm and good match for Dr Peck. They both get presents not coal in their stocking. I will be sure to tell Santa. And the kind caring Beth as the “last” touch. She takes time And care to be sure we understand the cost estimate and provides answers without rushing or becoming frustrated when she has to explain again. Everyone gets a good report to Santa. My experience with my orthodontic and entire staff was outstanding. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment, I was greeted with a friendly and helpful voice on the other end of the line. The staff was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to find an appointment time that worked with my schedule. During my visit, I was impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the entire team. They took the time to explain the treatment process, answer all my questions, and ensure that I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. Overall, the orthodontic customer service exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling confident that I was in good hands. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of orthodontic care.

The dental hygienist was very good. Excellent at communicating new information about my gums , brushing & she tested the gums for pickets & the other 2 did not. She’s the best.

Nani the Hygienist at Hawaii Family Dental Mililani is the best of the best. She’s gentle and sweet when cleaning your teeth. Leaves my teeth shiny and bright. The office stay is also very professional and sharp.

This was the second visit I had to this dental clinic. Both times were amazing, especially when they complimented me on the excellent dental work I have had (dental implants, crowns, caps). This inspired me to write a thank you note to my former dentist in Washington today to let him know his work is being noticed. I also want a shout out to Lance and Sky in the front office who are so sweet and welcoming. Also, super funny. Please note I am writing this positive review even though I was told a filling fell out and I need to replace a crown and I have another appointment next week. 😩

Service at front desk- okay, I walked in and no clients were in waiting lounge. But walked up to the window and said hello and was greeted back after about 15 seconds from one of the two workers sitting at the concierge (one was on the phone so I didn’t expect a greeting). The second employee was on the computer and could’ve quickly and kindly asked me to hold for a sec just to show acknowledgment because it was pretty awkward in the silence. Once the employee greeted me, they were nice.Service from dental cleaning—The employee in the yellow uniform who performed the cleaning in the room off to the immediate left of the concierge desk was alright.However there wasn’t a napkin of any sort to wipe my face with after the splashing of debris from my mouth onto my face or I was not offered any mouthwash to rinse the taste of blood from my mouth after the cleaning. And I’ve already been there a few times and never have these measurements been implemented!! You would think those are steps of practicing good hygiene coming from a dental clinic. But this is a survey and these are my genuine thoughts about my experience.Not much to say about the stand in Dr. he was robotic and in and out within 30 secs to check the work of the employee in the yellow.Before leaving I checked with the concierge to see if I owed anything and the same employee who greeted me 15 seconds after greeting them was what seemed slightly more nicer than my initial encounter.So basically CONSISTENCY all around and offering all clients a wet nap to clean their face after dental appointment along with mouthwash to cleanse/freshen the mouth. Also this was the first time out of a few prior visits that I’ve ever received a bag with dental products to take home. But I don have family members who have experienced different.

The entire staff at Hawaii Family Dental is amazing!! My little guy was NOT having it at his latest appt, crying and thrashing around. They were extremely patient and even checked on how I was doing.

The front desk coordinators are friendly, give a clear understanding of treatment plans and insurance based questions before being seen for a visit. They are always smiling and very professional during every visit I attend. They are the very reason I continue my care with Hawaii Family Dental. The office environment is well kept, clean. My dentist is Dr. Kon who is very friendly, professional, and kind. She educates me with basic oral hygiene and preventative care. I also receive treatment from an orthodontist here as well and when I have an emergency or braces concern, the front office staff are very prompt in seeking care for my needs. Thank you Hawaii Family Dental for having the best front office staff and a "few" amazing dental assistants! Dr. Kon thank you for always providing exceptional care and service!

My 8 year old daughter recently went in to see if she was could get invisalign with orthodontist Dr. Daniel Shin. He recommended we check in again in one year when more of her adult teeth come in.I appreciated his honesty and his clear, detailed explanations using digital x-rays. Also, my appointment started on-time, the lobby was clean, and not crowded. We'll be back in one year!

This has been my first year of dental care at Hawaii Family Dental. The previous eight plus years I stayed with a different clinic. Unfortunately, dental services in Hilo, Hawaii at my previous dental care clinic became obvious expanding their patient size was more important than providing a level of dental care that the patient deserved.I am so impressed by the professionalism and extent of care at Hawaii Family Dental. The dental staff there are an example of really outstanding customer service. It is refreshing how the provider clearly communicates with the dental patient the service recommended to be following an in depth examination.My only regret after my first year with Hawaii Family Dental is I’m sorry I hadn’t made the move sooner to their clinic. It has always been my practice to schedule dental care at six month intervals. It is so refreshing to work with their staff who are certainly customer focused. Their service is complete and exceptionally friendly. I am totally satisfied with their dental care process that is outstanding in every respect. There has been no evidence that their primary goal is to get you out of the office as quickly as possible. They overtly have convinced me their priority is providing the very best dental care possible in the area.I am impressed with the wonderful dental services “Adam” has provided, as well as other members on their treatment team!! They have convinced me that my care is important and will do what ever needs to be done to meet those dental needs.I highly recommend Hawaii Family Dental in Hilo, Hawaii. I anticipate a long term dental relationship with this new dental care team.

I love this dental office! The front office staff is always very friendly and helpful and my dentist is very caring and attentive. My dental hygienist (Christy) is awesome and encourages me in my brushing and flossing habits. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist more!

Dr Chin and his team are great! We are always very pleased when we walk away from our appointments. They are friendly, efficient, educational and patient every time. We highly recommend Dr Chin as the orthodontist for your child! He is absolutely the best!
