Vanessa was great she explained in detail about brushing my gums upward, and also about plaque. So far she is the only one who explained in detail. She also told me about leaf suction, it was so much so comfortable. I would like for her do do my next cleaning.

I can't praise the staff enough; they are truly exceptional. The check-in staff is not only efficient but also incredibly friendly, making the entire process smooth and welcoming. I genuinely believe they deserve a raise for their hard work and dedication. Our favorite hygienist, Jenn, always takes the time to ensure we're comfortable and well-informed during our appointments. Her attention to detail and gentle approach make each visit a positive experience. Dr. Jason is outstanding as well; his expertise and caring demeanor leave us feeling confident in our dental care. Overall, we are incredibly grateful for such a fantastic team that consistently goes above and beyond for their patients.

I've now gone through everything from a root canal, teeth cleaning, implant placement, fillings with HFD and everyone has been nothing but kind and professional. By far the best dental practice I have ever visited and always look forward to seeing everyone in the office from the front desk, to the hygenist, to the dentists, their assistants, and the billing team. Sarah was very good. She would tell you what she was doing and what to expect. It was relaxing. She never kept you in suspense.

Dr Mello and Dr Wiz are the best dentist and oral surgeon I've been to in years. I had an old filling that cracked and broke. They were able to get me in right away. Dr Mello was able to temporarily reduce the pain and got me on antibiotics so the infection would go away and I was able to get my root canal the following week by Dr Wiz. I hady root canal on my birthday and the whole staff sang to me. Highly recommend

Service and care is always excellent. The receptionist pleasantly greeted me and verified my appointment. Then I did a self check in on a monitor that was setup in the middle of the waiting room. After a couple minutes of waiting, Mitch escorted me to my hygienist chair. Cheryl always does an excellent job cleaning my teeth and giving me after care instructions. After my teeth are cleaned, Mitch took my xray and Dr. Hur did the examination. All is good and will be back after 6 months. Thank you Hawaii Family Dental-Mililani! You guys are awesome and always do a great job!

I was scared of going to the dentist before going to this place. I was scared on my first visit and didn’t want to do what they told me that I had to do. My hygienist, Sarah, did a great job in making me feel more comfortable and she did her work professionally while still checking on me to see if I was okay every step of the way.

Had a cleaning with Nina today. What a 5 star experience for me. From the moment she called my name I knew it was gonna be a good visit. She guided me as a professional and made me very comfortable with confidence as to where I want to be with my health in hygiene going forward. My actual clean was awesome and so relax. My appointment was at 10am I got seen around 10:20am. Once I was seen it went by quickly. The service was awesome. Everyone is so Nice and welcoming.

Always great service. Cleanings always easy and comfortable. They focus on prevention and make it easy for follow ups. They are honest and never pressure treatments.

They were great! Nice reception staff and the hygienist was gentle and fun to talk with. She knew what she was doing as well! Dr. Chang was wonderful! She took over a half hour with me reviewing my X-rays, discussed my results of those as well as her own exam, and made very helpful suggestions. We had a really good chat also. I set up several appointments on the spot! I actually look forward to seeing my new dentist! Mahalo to all!

I hate the novacane shots but who doesn't. The doctor did an excellent job through crown process and I highly recommend Hawaii Family Dental for your dental work

They were very friendly, funny, informative & gentle. I just have a temporary crown for now & it’s still a little nervy — it’s too soon to know if it’s totally comfortable, but the experience was comfortable.

I want to say "Mahalo plenty" to all the staff that I came in contact w today for my crown delivery X 2. From The front "Avatar" check in Angela, to Davlyn, Malakai & Priscilla at the front counter to Genesis and Dr. Tapua. All were professional and expedient and sensitive to my scheduling of future appts and VA approvals. Genesis even w x-ray malfunctions she troubleshooted and discovered it was a computer issue. SHE promptly took me to a working x-ray and moved everything over to another workspace (including my personal belongings as to not inconvenience me), so kind and very calm, cool and collective, the Triple "C" dental assistant. I was impressed how she handled the stress of malfunctioning equipment and reset her computer to no resolve. This is my 2nd time w Genesis. .She also assisted and even held my hand when I had a prior appt to extract a tooth. She reassured me, all was gonna be fast and be ok, she could sense I was nervous & lilobit scared. She is diplomatic yet compassionate and I was happy she worked w Dr. TAPUA on my crowns. FYI I was glad she didn't react like the Triple A lady: assertive, aggressive & abrasive or go off like a bomb. That girl deserves a raise. And last but not least, Dr Tapua, she is always a pleasure to see, greets me, says what she's gonna do and does it. She calms me w her singing voice.I am happy to have my new crowns 👑😊. I usually dread going to the dentist, but I happen to like mine look forward to future appts as I know I can expect the same hospitable yet professional treatment and care. I especially appreciate that they value my time too.

Overall great experience. Staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable while getting my X-rays done. Doctor was nice as well. I was impressed with the online concierge — very smooth check in process. However, I was not expecting to have to schedule my cleaning on a different day. I’ve gone to several different offices and they’ll do exam and cleaning on same day. It’s just inconvenient to have to come back, especially since I need to come back again a different day to do my fillings. 3 different dental visits is a lot. I would have liked to have done my exam and cleaning the same day. Overall, I’ll come back since I have these appts and staff was nice and office was clean and organized, but I’ll be sure to specify if I can have an exam and cleaning done together. If not, I may go elsewhere.

Best experience ever! I visited Hawaii Family Dental for a consultation for braces and they were able to put it on the same day. Every staff member encountered was a pleasure to work with! Super helpful, informative and patient. Highly recommended!

Although it takes quite sometime to get an appointment, they do an excellent job once you are seen. (If You don’t have periodontal disease, the 8 month wait for a first cleaning may not be a problem for you, but it is for me.) Everyone is very professional, and my hygienist did a superb job and schedule several appointments before I leave so I don’t have to wait.

was a very well cared for dental procedure my dentist kept asking me if i’m ok as he was extracting my tooth and stitching it i felt comfortable a lot of pressure but it went well also the assistant was so caring thank you both ! see you on my next procedures

My appointment was at 8am, but the doors didn’t open until 8am, so technically my appointment became 8:15am. However, they get you in and out within 1 hour of your scheduled time. The hygienist I had today, Ron, was great. She was pleasant as well as very good at what she does.

Dr. Yan and Irene were fabulous. They made me feel at easy snd comfortable during a 2 hour appointment to prep for a crown. Thank you! Brenda was extremely helpful in guiding me through the financial process and other conversations!🥰

It was my first time visiting, and Dr. Moon is kind, gentle, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. The hygienist who managed my cleaning and flouride treatment was amazing — thorough, extremely gentle with my sensitive teeth, and always so friendly. Sheena took care of me through the whole visit, managing my x-rays and imaging, and is professional, caring, and made me feel at ease. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now — highly recommend!

Hawaii Family Dental are always super friendly, kind and helpful. I have had a lot of work done. This is the only dentist I’ve never experienced pain. They make sure you’re comfortable and pain free. They explain the best and least expensive methods and coverage. They are my permanent go to. If you have a low tolerance for pain, this is your answer.

Going to the dentist isn’t on anyone’s list of pleasant things to do but a must if you want to keep your mouth healthy! Hawaii Family Dental is one dental office that I don’t mind going to. My dental hygienist, Sara, is very sweet and smart. I feel important and am treated with care and respect. I highly recommend this office.

I love my teeth cleaned by Jeff. He’s always great. Your check-in procedure in Kailua KONA is very difficult. Is confusing and frustrating. You need to rethink your check-in process.

I am very happy with my dental care at Hawaii Family Dental Kapolei. Everyone in all my visits over the past couple of years have been courteous, professional and very helpful.

My visit with Dr Kristiana Tupua today was professional and great. She put me at ease let me know what she was doing and game changing they used a bite guard (not sure right word) which took pressure off my jaw while she filled the cavity. Wonderful to not have my jaw hurt when done with dental work.. Great visit and office staff super helpful.

Customer Service always excellant. If finance has a difficult customer just kick them out abd let them know that you'll email customer of exoected billings.

I am very pleased with Hawaii family dentals dental care, I took a star off only due to bad communication on payment too often I’ve experienced my treatment plan going up from what they tell you when you’re scheduling. I understand often times these are estimate mix ups but it’s been $400-$500 difference and I feel like at that point it’s just criminal. I do appreciate their work and I wish it didn’t have to be so stressful and ultimately humiliating to the patient.

I always have a wonderful experience at Hawaii Family Dental, Waiakea branch. This time I went in for a cleaning and Adam is always my preferred hygienist. He is awesome and so very professional. Everyone in that office makes you feel comfortable and treats you with respect. I highly recommend them as a place to go for your dental needs.
