Although going to the dentist is something I strongly dislike—especially procedures involving needles—my visit with Family Dentistry was a positive experience. Dr. Gene was excellent, as was his assistant. The front desk personnel were professional and courteous. They all made me feel welcome.

My review is in reference to Dr. Azure Utley - Hawaii Family Dental Kapolei office. Dr. Utley is the absolute best. She resolved my issues acquired while under the care of a different dental office timely and coordinated my care from root canal to replacement crown. She carefully explained what I could expect and has great communication, even after services were rendered. Highly recommend.

The staff were very attentive and kind with the check in process. The dental assistant was courteous and professional. My consultation with Dr. Sterling went smoothly. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a timely manner. The most important thing for me was that it didn’t take long because I had another engagement. My visit was a 5 star all the way around.

Super friendly staff on 1-16-26 who helped me with a tooth infection. I didn't have an appointment but they took me in and saw me and got me squared away quickly. Receptionist was VERY helpful and I am extremely grateful and would recommend the place at windward mall if you are in a pinch or need to schedule a teeth cleaning, etc. They might have limited choices for oral surgeons, but they made referrals and I was able to grab prescriptions from the Longs across the street super fast. Dr. Istvan is very caring, adept and makes one feel at ease in the dental chair. She provides first-rate service in a limited amount of time. The dental hygienists and office staff are also very professional and pleasant.

Wonderful staff, excellent service! Dr. Nguyen was the best dentist I have ever been to. She was so skilled, informative and kind. I live on another Island and will fly back again just to see her.

Well, I gotta tell you, it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a dentist and I live on the mainland. But I had a bad toothache … I come to Maui 4 Months in the winter so I had to make an appointment.. So I went to Hawaii family dental in Kihei and I’ve never had a better experience at a dentist in my life and I’m 74 years old. Everybody was so polite so helpful and so nice. I want to thank each and everyone of you….

Had a follow-up appt with Dr. Negroni to assure me there's not a dry socket. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes.

4 Stars: Didn't like checking in with a talking head on computer. Dental service and follow up by Beth was very good. Just upgraded to 5 for 2sd visit. Checked in by a real , non-digital person, very patient , kind and efficient. Dental work by Dr. Ty and cleaning by Dr. ??? were very good, pleasant, expert experiences.

Great dentists and assistance. From front desk to back! Big emphasis on the hygienists and staffing, they go above to make you feel comfortable and local friendly!! Plus if you need to kill time, the ball is a great place to do so.

The staff is very friendly. Today’s ortho follow up appointment was really quick just to see how my teeth are aligning. I’m scheduled for another follow up next month. Thank you for a pleasant experience so far.

My teeth are in excellent shape but I go just to chat with Jeff my cleaner. The whole staff is professional and spread the aloha. I wish the check-in procedure went back to being more personal instead of electronic, but still they get five big gold stars.

The staff is always kind. Today I showed up a couple hours early because a friend also has appointments for her kids, so I caught a ride with them. I ended up just checking in anyway. And they called me back within 30 minutes. (Still about 1.5 hours before my actual appointment time) I saw Dr Stone for a tooth extraction. This is my second time seeing him. And he is great. Had me numbed and the tooth out quick and without complication.

Dr. Stone was amazing. He was very patient answering all my questions and working with me even as difficult as it was. His assistant was very good as well helping make me comfortable and relax being I have fears of dentists. Mahalo.....

It's really hard to get an appointment, but you won't find a kinder, more thoughtful or a better dentist! Everyone at Hawaii Family Dental in Kailua-Kona is above and beyond nice, they are also very professional!

This has to be the bestest dental office. They are very accommodating to clients who works during the week. Open late at nights and weekends most especially on Sunday’s. I had a dental issue, with such a short notice , they took me in. Thank you Dr Woo…you have an amazing team.

BEST DENTIST WE HAVE EVER HAD! I cannot say enough amazing things about this dental office! My 7-year-old has WAS extremely afraid of going to the dentist — I mean full-on screaming, shaking, the works. But the team here never gave up on her. Over multiple visits they took the time to build trust, talk to her, understand her fears, and work at her pace. Their patience, kindness, and genuine care made such a difference. Now she walks in comfortable and even looks forward to seeing them! Watching her go from terrified to confident has been such a relief as a parent, and it’s all thanks to how incredible this team is. Rusty was such an amazing person who has a beautiful vibe. He welcome us in and took his time with us when booking appointments. Our 1sr visit was beyond wonderful. While I was waiting with my 3 kids I saw how amazing he is with each person that walks in. We need more of Rusty in every office.

Well, first of all this was my first time seeing the office at a different location, and I like the facility it was very nice and cleaned. The room set up was excellent, I didn’t know that they were a lot of rooms in there.The staff at the desk was very helpful and polite, as well as the medical assistant and dentist.I definitely will continue my visit there.
