I am so appreciative for the staff today. I came In because my temporary crown fell off and they were prompt to see what they could do. I was seen to reattach the temporary crown. Thank you all so much.

I had my first cleaning today with Nina- without a doubt the best dental cleaning experience ever, and I have been to dental practices all over the country. The dim lighting in the room is immediately relaxing- and I got to choose my own music! Nina made the cleaning experience itself actually pleasant , and who says that about a visit to the dentist?!! She deserves a raise 😁, good hygienists are hard to find and keep!!! Mahalo to the whole team, everyone is very pleasant and professional.

So gentle and very concerned about my comfort. Great work. However, they seem to have some issues with their scheduling system confirming appointments on days the office is closed.

Well, first of all this was my first time seeing the office at a different location, and I like the facility it was very nice and cleaned. The room set up was excellent, I didn’t know that they were a lot of rooms in there.The staff at the desk was very helpful and polite, as well as the medical assistant and dentist.I definitely will continue my visit there.

I had a good appointment with Lisa Lie. I was just informed that she is leaving for Oahu at the end of the year and that made me sad, because I really enjoyed her care. I'm sure she will recommend a colleague to replace her. I wish her all the best

I have had about 3 visits to this dental office, and I have been impressed every time with the efficiency, warmth, and thorough education offered by each of my providers. I am amazed at how the staff and physicians stay on time and make sure we have everything we need. I wish we had more offices/dentists, as I can only get appointments booked 6 months in advance. But Iʻm super happy to be a part of this office. Dr. Tupua, Micah, and Nina, plus all the front desk staff have been super helpful and kind. Iʻm always excited to go to the dentist!

Everything went great and smooth! Nina, the dental hygienist was friendly and effective! Dr. Akioka and his nurse are super, too, and they did a great job.

I went for my first appointment with Hawaii Family Dental in the Prince Kuhio Plaza last week. I feel "dentist anxiety" but my nervousness and fear decreased as soon as I stepped into their office. The front counter staff greeted me and asked how they could help. Next, the dental assistant helped me with X-rays, teeth photos, and general information. She was warm and gentle, again, putting me more at ease. The dentist that examined me was Dr. Tupua who greeted me in a friendly manner. She and her assistant worked well in unison during the very thorough examination. Dr. Tupua explained the condition of my teeth and gums clearly and also went over procedures that would help. After the examination, I was back at the front counter and was given a copy of the dental procedures needed along with the cost. The dental clerk was very helpful going pretty much step by step what would be involved. Overall, a very good experience. I am thankful for Hawaii Family Dental at the PKP in Hilo.

An excellent experience. Dr. Li was very fastidious in addressing an issue with the new crown and patiently gave an understandable explanation of why it might have happened.

Nina was awesome. Gave great insight, very compassionate and had awesome music that helped me relax. She made me feel at ease and did an amazing job.
