Mica was exceptional for my teeth cleaning.She also explained to me about the benefits of a water pick.She showed me a photo of the one to buy, which I purchased at Target after the cleaning.

My PCP (primary care physician) Erwin Kalua she provides attention and compassion towards my needs. She listens to my concerns regarding my office visit along with her sincere heartfelt presence with me. I am truly blessed to have her in my life. Mahalo doc.

For my baby boys very first visit. The staff from the moment we walked in was aces and the live screen check in was amazingly new, fun and accommodating. Then the greeting was superb followed by a short wait even though my appointment wasn't for another 45 minutes. We were seen in less then ten minutes of waiting. Once we were in one of their awesome rooms the nurse gave me prompt and important information on how the visit would be and what to do to help DR. My son was seen and gave little fuss but was sent off with a 👍 and a bag of healthy gifts for His bravery and visit. I'm so glad I made the right choice. Thank you so very much for the experience and welcome we received from the moment we walked in throughout the visit and seeing us on our way out. We're Very Happy 😁😁😁

Absolutely the finest dental service on the Big Island. Personal are the very best and scheduling an appointment is very easy because they are open 7 days a week.

From the moment I arrived, the entire team was welcoming, friendly, and cheerful, creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere.They took my concerns and anxiety about dental work seriously and made every effort to help me feel at ease. Dr. Todd Stone is exceptional. He was attentive throughout my procedure, frequently checking on my comfort and even pausing when my anxiety became overwhelming to make sure I was okay. His compassion and patience made me feel like a valued person rather than just another patient.Dr. Stone also took the time to thoroughly explain each procedure and answer all of my questions, which gave me confidence and peace of mind. Although going to the dentist has never been something I enjoy, Hawaii Family Dental has completely changed my experience. If I ever need dental care, this is the office I will choose every time.

All nice and helpful people. I have had good experiences here. I will say the only thing is I feel like I have a different primary dentist each time I go. All have been good though.

I had an excellent hygiene appointment today with Nina- without a doubt the best dental cleaning experience ever, and I have been to dental practices all over the country.The dim lighting in the room is immediately relaxing- and the music was also wonderful and adds to the calming atmosphere ! Nina made the cleaning experience itself actually pleasant , and who says that about a visit to the dentist?!! She deserves a raise 😁, good hygienists are hard to find and keep!!! Mahalo to the whole team, everyone is very pleasant and professional.

Have been a patient for about 20 yrs. The office staff is fantastic, offering great service to accommodate and help patients with their needs. Unfortunately, too many good dentist have come and gone. The good ones show and explain the problem with honesty and facts, and work with tenderness and care, being sensitive to the fears and the pain one experiences on a dentist's chair: and is not so quick to drill. A good dentist spends time with you, and since the offices has become sort of an assembly line-like structure, time is of the essence. Just because they are dentist does not mean they are gods. They can make mistakes that cannot be reversed. So be sure to educate yourself about your teeth and what can be done. See if there are alternatives that you can add to your protocol, and be sure to investigate that they are proven to work or to help. Dr. Stone is fantastic; treats you like he would his child. DO NOT USE ALMALGAM FILLINGS. IF POSSIBLE. USE COMPOSITES AT THE MINIMUM. I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months, and my hygienist is very gentle with her hands and does her work with pride. I miss the doctors that have gone, and hoping for more Dr. Stones to become part of the staff for the office. Be careful for the "ones" that are ready to drill or remove. Stop eating junk, and brush your teeth ... Aloha

Had my first cleaning with Nina - she is personable and extremely thorough with her work all while genuinely caring about your well being.

The dentist and assistant today were great. They were gentle, professional, patient, and through. Overall they made my experience the best that it could be.

Hawaii Family Dental recommended I use a water flosser, and four months later I had less buildup of tartar on my teeth so the cleaning took less time and I had less sensitivity. They are really looking out for me.

Friendly staffs. Waiting was not long. I was well informed about the procedures being done that day and I appreciate the follow up with where Dr Le left off with me. Dr made suggestions without making me feel pressured. 🙌🏽🌺

The staff and Dr. Stone are the best! Very grateful to have an excellent periodonist come to the Big Island to provide the necessary care I require.

Yesterday I had a deep cleaning done by the hygienist, Micah, and she was really nice! All of the people who work at Hawaii Family Dental in Hilo, Hawaii do a wonderful job with everything! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a dental place too!

Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly and ready to answer questions I had pertaining to billing.

Super clean office, great check in process with cost given to you before the visit so you know what to expect. Very friendly and efficient staff and amazing dentists! Dr Tapua is always friendly, gentle with a great bedside manner. And the hygienist always has me laughing and I can honestly say makes it fun having your teeth cleaned.

I LOVE EVERYONE THERE!! THEY ARE ALL SO FRIENDLY BUT YET PROFESSIONAL!! I GOT A FILLING TODAY AND DR. TUPUA WAS GREAT AT SHOOTING ME UP WITH NUMBING SERUM. SHE MADE ME THINK OF DR. MAH, I LOVED HIM. Got my tooth extracted. Left the dentist office like a champ with instructions of post-care. Dr Gutierrez was very friendly and informed me of every step he will take. I psyched myself for nothing. Removal was fast and easy.

Front desk people are nice. My dentist is friendly and professional. Does good work. Seems a little assembly line, though

I had my teeth cleaned, & Nina was my hygienist & she was SUPER FANTASTIC!! I needed a good scolding for not flossing, & she really cares about each patient, I know. She educated me on things, which I really appreciated!She was fun, friendly, yet VERY Professional!You are lucky to have her working with you!!Give that girl a raise!!!
