I have the best dental experience thanks to hygienist Laura, Dr. Bono, and the amazing team working at the Waterfront Plaza office. They are always so kind and supportive and encouraging of my dental habits and health. I recently had an emergency situation and Dr. Bono had navigated me to get what I needed before the situation got worse. The dental team is always so caring and careful. They have thoughtfully offered payment options and programs and even offered me a blanket when I was cold during a recent visit. I could not think of a better dental team to recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Laura is the best! She always goes out of her way to make you feel relaxed and explains everything she’s doing. The whole experience when I go there couldn’t be better, apart from my gagging when having my x-rays done. Yes, I’m a whimp!

This is honestly the best dentist I have ever been to. They are honest and not pushy about trying to sell you things like other dentists. They care about your teeth and making wise decisions. Very friendly staff! Hope to keep them forever!

I live on the Westside, but I travel to Honolulu to see my dentist and hygienist because my dentist Dr. Chang and my hygienist Shanice are the "best." Always personable, caring and know their job (skilled at what they do) and this is very important. I want the best caring for me and I trust the work they do. This is why I would travel anywhere on Oahu to see my dentist and hygienist. Caring for your teeth and gums are important to your overall health. I would recommend Hawaii Family Dental - Honolulu if you are looking for a dentist and hygienist. You can get reminders of your appointments, cost estimates of your upcoming appointment so you can be prepared or ask questions if needed and the front staff is always personable and helpful. It is easy to confirm your appointment or make changes if needed. They have an upgraded check in process that is efficient. They are very timely with seeing you at your appointment time. Their checkout process is very organized and efficient as well. They also provide validated parking which is very helpful.

The staff and dentists are awesome! I’m not a fan of going to the dentist, but this team has a way of making me feel comfortable. Dr. Meredith and Dr. Sterling are great to have on my side as I’ve been dealing with a lot of issues with my teeth. Thanks HFD!

My recent appointment was only for a cleaning, and that's what I'm reviewing now. While the office, as a whole, is good and I've never really had any issues there, yesterday's appointment deserved a review.I don't Love the dentist...who really does ?! My hygienist, Shanice, is the best of the best as far as I'm concerned. In my youth, I didn't have great dental care, combine that with bad genetics and I had to spend a lot of time at the dentist, and definitely developed a bit of anxiety at the mention of my next appt. After years of work, I'm at a great place now, no more anxiety, but even if I was, Shanice would make it all better.I'm a nurse, so I admit I'm a bit particular when I'm a patient. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about her at all. From the moment she says hi, she's a spot of joy and light in that clinic. She makes me smile every time I see her, she knows how to relax you and ask just enough to put you at ease and glad you're in her chair. Anyone who is nervous about their cleaning, or just about the dental experience overall, see if she's available, you won't regret it.Hawaii Family Dental...you have a rare gem of an employee in Shanice!

Just had an extraction done this morning. Dr Sterling and the office staff were kind, understanding, and very efficient. Extraction went smoothly with minimal bleeding and post operation recovery pain is 2 out of 10 compared to what I experienced from the toothache I suffered for 3 weeks before I finally made an appointment. I highly recommend Hawaii Family Dental in Honolulu.

They are kind, their explanations of the treatment are clear, and both the dental hygienist and the dentist are truly trustworthy.
