Braces and Invisalign

From the first dental visit of their life, as a toddler, or all the way to being being a teen getting dentist and orthodontist... my kids have always felt comfortable and respected. They frequently ask when they get to go to their next appointment. I'm sure it sounds like a commercial. I had a lot of stress about finding a good dentist, because of nightmare stories my friend's kids experienced. There was no stress or concerns of that at Hawaii Family Dental in Kona. I got to stay with my children, while a Disney movie of their choice was playing, and I got to make glove balloon animals while they were getting their teeth done.... and leave them to cheer up other kids. Can't recommend them enough. My kids will be sad when they have to switch to adult dental. They will miss all her jokes and the ways she makes them giggle and accidently splash her... good thing she wears goggles and protective apron. 🤣

I recently went to see Dr. Shin, my orthodontist. He is always very kind and helpful. My teeth look great! Also, Dr. Moon was able to do an exam while I was there. I appreciate how Hawaii Family Dental helps me every step of the way to take care of my teeth, so they can last a long time. Mahalo!

Dr.Shin is top notch and so personable. All his assistants thus far have been amazing as well. I highly recommend this dental office for not only ortho with Dr.Shin, but also cleanings and dental work by the professional and top tier dentists Dr.Siddiqui and Dr. Fernandez, who I’ve also had the pleasure of receiving care from. Shoutout to Gabby on da screen check in too for always bringing a warm smile and aloha spirit. Can’t forget Alexi either! Go to this office now, go!!

The staff is very friendly. Today’s ortho follow up appointment was really quick just to see how my teeth are aligning. I’m scheduled for another follow up next month. Thank you for a pleasant experience so far.

Currently going through orthodontic treatment as I am an adult patient. Dr. Tinhan evaluated me on my complex case (posterior crossbite/crowding) that made it difficult to clean, although I am seeing a primary dentist now. Dr. Tinhan assured me he will do his best. As I near into 1 year into my treatment, I've seen a lot of changes and my confidence grew with an improved smile. I felt Dr. Tinhan is very knowledgeable and understanding of my case, being that I am an adult and ortho care was not possible when I was a kid. Dental health is a good investment and i encourage anyone with needing ortho care to see Dr. Tinhan. My insurance also helped cover a portion of the ortho care. I am looking forward to the next year and how much my smile will improve. The staff provided me helpful advice on pain management, in the beginning was painful but I know without pain, there is no growth. Mahalo to all the hard working staff at Hawaii Family Dental

Easily the best rating I can put down for a dental clinic. I've been with Hawaii family dental - Mililani for almost a year now and I absolutely love the care that I'm currently receiving here. Front desk staff are very kind and friendly, dentist team & their assistants are knowledgeable and easy to converse with during appts. 10/10 must recommend. I've had all my cleaning and ortho appts done here and so far, I'm loving it. here's a reminder to brush ya teeth & floss, floss, floss!

Ortho team was really good, They came in introduced themselves, did 3D scan, went over all the details of what needed to be done, went over options and what to expect, and the aftercare. Didn't know after braces you will need a retainer for life. Son was comfortable and happy.

My mom Juanita had gotten braces about 2 1/2 years ago, finally wanting to fix her smile. Dr. Tinhan was upfront about everything that she was going to experience and sure enough, everything went as planned. She got them off today and now has the smile that she can be proud of. The rest of the staff was amazing to her as well. Danielle was always there by her side to get her through this journey. We want to thank everyone there that assisted my mom.

Great team! And they also have periodontist, orthodontist and pediatric dentists on staff coming in on different days rotating- large suite of offices and treatment rooms- lots of validated parking.located in building 7 on the third floor. They give you a written estimate ahead of time-what your co pay is and how much insurance will cover Only drawback is they are not available on Saturdays

I went in for a cleaning an exam because I haven’t been back since 2019. The check in office was very fast and easy. I had Dr.Yan and her assistant Irene, They made the atmosphere so very comfortable and safe. She help me go over a step by step plan for cleaning, extracting and gettting braces.i can tell she’s very experienced and loved what she’s doing. Dr Yan is very inspiring and supportive in our conversation about start up businesses.

They helped my daughter feel comfortable and safe as she got her braces put on. She had things explained to her, and she got to ask questions. her friend and I (mom) were allowed to sit in the room and interact with the dentist while the braces were being put on. It was a good experience for all of us.

Been coming here for about 8 years now. It’s always a good visit and never had a problem. They have the professionals all in one place, from hygienist to dentist to ortho to surgeon, they don’t need to send you somewhere else.

my visit yesterday was perfect, the lady who did my bottom braces and did my upper braces adjustment is a "PRO", she is very good in doing her job.I don't have any wires sticking in my mouth, no orthowax needed. I wish she always do my adjustments and all every appointment i have.Thank you Doc TinHan as my ortho, he inspect my braces nicely and perfectly..Thank you so much.👍

Little tender from yesterday ortho visit. Several staffs are friendly. Overall, Dr Lee and Dr Chong are wonderful. They do all their best.

Had braces put on. Dr Shin and assistant is great. They are patient, caring and explained along the way. I know braces are pain in the neck, but they made it bearable. Great job.

The front desk coordinators are friendly, give a clear understanding of treatment plans and insurance based questions before being seen for a visit. They are always smiling and very professional during every visit I attend. They are the very reason I continue my care with Hawaii Family Dental. The office environment is well kept, clean. My dentist is Dr. Kon who is very friendly, professional, and kind. She educates me with basic oral hygiene and preventative care. I also receive treatment from an orthodontist here as well and when I have an emergency or braces concern, the front office staff are very prompt in seeking care for my needs.
